David Beckham, former England captain, announced today the acquisition of the English national team. “There’ll be some changes,” Mr. Beckham said at the press conference.

The terms of the contract were not disclosed, but according to our sources, Beckham is said to have paid 200 billion pounds for exclusive control of the national team for three years.

A middle aged man, BERTIL, sits on one of the airport seats and reads a newspaper. Another man, RISTO, walks towards the gates, slows down and looks for BERTIL. He sees him, they greet.

RISTO
Hi, Bertil, how long have you been here?

BERTIL
Oh, no, not long, not long at all, just got here.

PA
Ladies and gentlemen, the flight to Kiruna is ready for boarding in five minutes. Please have your boarding pass and an ID card available at the gate. We wish you a pleasant flight.

I did it. I was totally off email (and IM and regular surfing) all day last Friday. I thought it might be more difficult, but by lunch time I was actually thriving on the idea of not checking my email that day.

Instead, I built a snowman and went on an expedition with my son.

What do you know ... I went to the store today, to get some ketchup and mustard for my sausages that I would then cook on the stove in the sauna and who did I see there if not Miss Ellie.

It was quite a surprise. But I guess that this is a great place to hide if you want to fake your own death.

Just read in Fast Company that the demand for biofuel makes the price of corn go up. That, in turn, makes the price of tortillas go up, and the poor in Mexico ain't happy about it.

"ADHD Support Concert Cancelled

The charity concert to support people with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been cancelled.

According to the organizers, the reason was that an inexperienced organizer was overwhelmed with too many things to deal with simultaneously.

The organizers will give full refund of the tickets that have been purchased."
