I am now a Mac person. I’ve been a Mac person for about six days and I think that’s why I haven’t upated the blog, either. Not because I couldn’t for technical reasons (all you Vista evangelistas), this is the Web, after all, but because I’ve spent so much time going through all the amazing stuff that comes with a MacBook.
Wayne’s World
Today is Wayne Gretzky’s birthday. Have a great one!
And my blog on nhl.com has been updated. More after the jump.

It’s my job
We do define ourselves through our work, don’t we? I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit in the last weeks as I’ve encountered the phrase, “it’s my job” in movies and in real life.
How Swede
For about five years (that’d be seven minus the two I lived in Finland) I’ve played rinkbandy with a bunch of guys north of Stockholm. It’s a nice recreational league of something I consider to be a recreational sport; something that’s a pleasure to play, but not enough to try to make a career in.

INT. SAUNA AT THE GYM – NIGHT
Two naked men, JANNE and TOMAS, sit high up on the sauna bench. They stare ahead. Both are silent.
The Kid
Nausea invaded my stomach and my knees went weak. I could see Coach Williams walking towards me with his arms open wide.
“Holy shit, kid! I never thought I’d see this day,” he yelled. Coach Williams was a big man, and when he hugged me, you couldn’t basically see me at all. I simply disappeared in Coach’s embrace.

White & nerdy
Weird Al gone bad. Well, no, he did “Bad” a long time ago. Here he is, white and nerdy.

The golden era of the silver screen
My wife asked me the other day, “Are all your sentences going to start with ‘I heard a great podcast today’?” The way things are going, yes, that’s about right.
I know it sounds a little fishy. In fact, somebody said that to me a few months ago. He said, “I’ve never heard anyone use a podcast as a reference before.”
Spring is in the air
Stockholm is a beautiful city. I just walked through Kungsträdgården in downtown Stockholm. Kids were skating around, screaming and having fun – with helmets on, naturally – in the sun, and it just made me want to jump in, and maybe do a lutz or an axel.

Like this guy. And yes, he is skating in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.
It was much colder this time last year.
